Our Blogtacular Wishlist

H and I are off to Blogtacular next weekend for two days of networking, learning and blogging fun. There are loads of amazing bloggers and journalists scheduled to speak, as well as workshops and networking events so we need to be comfortable but smart enough to meet some of our blogging idols and piers. We have been trying to get ourselves ready by making lists of things we need to take with us, and more importantly what we are going wear!

Day one is about finding out where we are going to be, meeting all of our fellow attendees and some of the amazing speakers. We have both gone with neutral basics and added pops of colour, H with a bag and me with my dress.

H, Day One: CardiganNecklaceBootsBagDress.

Sammy, Day One: Dress: Boots: Ipad sleeve: Necklace.

Day two is about learning and more importantly comfort, so we have both gone for statement accessories to embellish our cosy outfits.
H Day Two: Jeans: Necklace: Shoes: BagTop.

Sammy, Day Two: TopBagNecklaceShoesTrousers.

Are you heading to Blogtacular? What have you planned on wearing or taking with you? Let us know in the comments below. There are still tickets available if you are a blogger or want to learn more about blogging, or if you are thinking about starting a blog, head over to the event page for more details.

Now, all we need is our notebooks and we are good to go!

How We Wear...Winter Coats

We are starting a new series for the new year. 'How we wear' will be H and I showing you a little peek into our wardrobes, we are by no means fashion bloggers, but we both have quite different styles when it comes to clothes, despite shopping in mostly the same places. We thought it would be interesting to see how each other styled a particular piece each month.
For January it is winter coats.

H says: I am so glad my friend Jen persuaded me to buy this coat on a recent shopping trip, Yellow is not normally a colour I would choose but I love the colour blue so it actually compliments a lot of my wardrobe. It is so cosy and adds a great pop of colour to any outfit.  I wear boots all the time in the winter and the studded straps on these give them a 'rock chick' feel which I love.

H wears: Coat by Miss Selfridge, Jeans and boots by Dorothy Perkins (similar here) , Black Jumper and scarf by H&M.

Sammy says: I bought this coat on the hottest day of the year back in August. I had been looking for a duffel style coat for ages and the colour of this one was perfect (It matches my hair!) It is so warm so I have to keep it for truly chilly days. I really struggle to find boots that will fit my calves so New Look's wide fit range are a blessing. I love the taupe colour of these, they go with everything!

Sammy wears: Coat by Primark, Boots by New Look (wide fit) Dress by New Look Inspire (Similar here), Scarf by River Island, Nail Varnish by Essie 'It's Genius' Rings by Accessorize.

Lets Talk Plus Size

I am a plus size girl, I have been for most of my life.  Sometimes a little less plus, sometimes a little more. I have always enjoyed fashion and clothes, fashion is not just for the thin!  These days us plus size girls are so lucky that the High Street fashion industry have decided that we do in-fact deserve cool clothes.  When I was a teenager, there were very few trendy places to buy clothes, that is why my mum used to make me lots of my wardrobe staples.  Now I am in my 30's aswell as topping up my wardrobe with things I make myself, I have some great places to buy Plus size fashion at reasonable prices.

On my current wish list are these pieces from my regular High Street/ Internet shops.
At the top of the list is the embroidered dress from Asos Curve!

These are my favourite places to shop for Plus Size
Size 16 to 30 in most of their range, I do find that some of their dresses come up a little short for me, but they are great worn with leggings.  They also have a great range of wide fit footwear.
Not absolutely plus size but the majority of their products go up to a size 22.  They are great for jeans and I love their Eden soft touch jeggings.
Sized 18 to 28, flattering shapes for curvy girls at good prices with high fashion detailing.  Some of the quality can be hit and miss, but with free returns its easy to order a bunch of stuff and return anything that doesn't hit the mark.

Next Plus Fit
Often Next's regular range (up to 22) is good enough for me, but they do have a Plus fit range that goes up to a size 26.  They are great for work wear and quality basics.

Sadly when I was putting my wish list together their site was down, but I love Very.com and their plus size range So Fabulous.  Even better, quite a lot of their regular ranges including Fern Cotton and Holly Willoughby collections go up to a size 20.

 So Fabulous Denim dress,

Are you plus size or regular size? Where are your favourite places to shop?

I'd love to find some new shops to try.

Sammy's Holiday Wishlist

H and I are off on holiday soon so I have been updating my summer wardrobe with a few bits and pieces, these are my top wishlist items to get before we go away.  I hate spending lots of money on clothes and accessories I only wear on holiday so all these items are under £30 and available on the High Street.

We have some really fun posts set for whilst we are away for you. We wont be able to answer emails or comments for a week or so but we will catch up as soon as we are home.
Where are you guys off to on holiday this year?

Have a great weekend.
