Autumn Ready Wishlist

Shirt  /  Boots  /  Shirt-dress  /  Bag  /  Necklace

Autumn is my favourite time of year and I can't wait for it to arrive. To be ready, I have been keeping my eye on my favourite shops, building my wishlist for a wardrobe re-boot. What is your favourite time of year? What are you looking forward to about autumn?

Have a lovely weekend

Summer is in full swing and it is so nice to be able to get our super summery clothes that are normally reserved for holidays out from the depths of the wardrobe. A nice a excuse to sprinkle in a few new bits and pieces too of course. What are your favourite pieces that you have your eye on for your summer holidays??

How We Wear: Occasions

We are both no stranger to a wedding or 5, we have both seen more than our fair share. When it comes to dressing for a wedding we still enjoy putting an outfit together as much as ever. Finding the perfect day to evening dress that's not too revealing or frumpy can be a challenge, but we think we have found our perfect dresses for at least one of our save the dates this year.

H wears: Dress from ASOS, shoes from Office (similar), cuff from New Look (similar), Ring from Accessorize, Necklace by Alison Lush.

Dress from New Look (similar) belt from New Look (similar) , Shoes from Forever 21, Necklace from Forever 21, Bracelets made myself.

How We Wear... Print Trousers

H and I have both been crushing hard on printed or patterned trousers lately, they are a great alternative to jeans if you want a relaxed day time outfit. We both love wearing ours with statement necklaces and comfy jersey tops. How do you wear yours?

H wears: Trousers by H&M, T-shirt by ASOS, Shoes £3 from Primark, Bracelets from Accessorize (Similar) and Forever 21 (Similar), Necklace by I am Acrylic.

Sammy wears: Neon kimono by BooHoo, Swing top by Asos (similar), Trousers by Yours, Sandals by Newlook (added ribbon), necklace from Forever 21.

Our Blogtacular Wishlist

H and I are off to Blogtacular next weekend for two days of networking, learning and blogging fun. There are loads of amazing bloggers and journalists scheduled to speak, as well as workshops and networking events so we need to be comfortable but smart enough to meet some of our blogging idols and piers. We have been trying to get ourselves ready by making lists of things we need to take with us, and more importantly what we are going wear!

Day one is about finding out where we are going to be, meeting all of our fellow attendees and some of the amazing speakers. We have both gone with neutral basics and added pops of colour, H with a bag and me with my dress.

H, Day One: CardiganNecklaceBootsBagDress.

Sammy, Day One: Dress: Boots: Ipad sleeve: Necklace.

Day two is about learning and more importantly comfort, so we have both gone for statement accessories to embellish our cosy outfits.
H Day Two: Jeans: Necklace: Shoes: BagTop.

Sammy, Day Two: TopBagNecklaceShoesTrousers.

Are you heading to Blogtacular? What have you planned on wearing or taking with you? Let us know in the comments below. There are still tickets available if you are a blogger or want to learn more about blogging, or if you are thinking about starting a blog, head over to the event page for more details.

Now, all we need is our notebooks and we are good to go!

Love it: Christmas Jumpers

Top row L to R: Max C snowflake from ASOS, Black Snowflake from H&M, Christmas Reindeers from River Island.
Bottom row L to R: Polar Bear from Asda, Understated in blue, white and red from Tesco, Snowmen from Vardagen via Etsy.

The Christmas Jumper has been seeing a revival over the last few years.  Gone are the days of worrying about getting a Mr Darcy rudolph jumper, as sometimes the tackier the better!  and, don't even get me started on onesies, but they seem to be in on the act too!

I was looking around at the Jumpers as I was going to take part in Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day, last Friday (what a way to jazz up Friday the 13th!).  The ones above were a few of my favourites and so I thought I would share them with you guys for all your jumper needs.

In the end I decided to give the money I would have spent on getting a new jumper to Save the Children, rather than buying a jumper I didn't really need and only donating £1, I thought I would donate more, go me.

Those who did join in though looked amazing, you can check out the site here for a snapshot of what was worn and if everyone who did it donated £1, then I think Save the Children did very very well.

I love donating to Charity at Christmas as a very worthy cause gets some extra cash and I do get the feel good factor myself.  My family and I do small gifts and then give to charity and so every year I look at a different charity, whether that be home or away.

What's your favourite feel good factor about Christmas?  I know people who help at Shelter and Crisis every year and I used to run an event for older people who would normally be on there own on Christmas Day, which without the volunteers really wouldn't have happened, so there is plenty of feel good factor out there too.

Link for the week: ASOS

Now, this might be hard to believe but this month I made my first ever ASOS purchase!  I know.

I have been meaning to buy from them for a long while, but just haven't done it for some reason.  I have heard good and bad things about some of the quality of the clothes and I suppose that has put me off as I am really lazy and hate having to send things back.

My first experience was good though as I bought the two dresses above and they are great.  Both good quality and fit right, bonus.

They always have great sales and the dress on the left went in the sale 3 days after I bought it which was a little annoying, but I love it so much that I don't mind too much!

Go check out the site and see if you can get a bargain!

Love it

Love it: Satchels

Don't you just hate it when you know what you are looking for, but you just can't seem to find it!
I have been looking to replace my trusty Satchel which I brought last year in the Accessorize sale.  It was only a matter of time before the strap came off altogether as I have a tendency to overstuff my bag.  I wanted to replace it but just couldn't find the right fit.

I had done the very thing which you should not do, which is look at too many and so then not be able to make a decision.  They were too big or too small, too stiff, not the right colour, not enough pockets etc. I was beginning to think I would not find something just the way I wanted for the price I could afford.  I really wanted a tan one to replace my old one as it goes with EVERYTHING, but I was starting to get sidetracked by blue and spots and well just about everything.

I eventually went to eBay and found a bag which was originally from Next, but even eBay has its perils of me bidding for 4 other bags before this one was mine!  I am not a natural eBayer as I can't handle the 'just before the bid ends - outbidding' minefield.  It just becomes too stressful for me!  ha, ha.

Anyway, as I was looking around I thought I would share some of the ones I found, so that it might help you in your search or just give you more bags to be tempted by, sorry.
The Classic Batchel |Cambridge Satchel
If I had the money, I would definitely have gone for the Cambridge Satchel Company to buy my satchel from.  They are great bags, but unfortunately I just don't have the kind of money to afford one at the moment.  A little more saving up before I can get me one of these.

This lovely blue number is from Zatchels, another very good company, but alas still a bit on the pricey side for me this time, but do check out all the pretty colours.

Image 1 of ASOS Smart Retro Satchel
This one is from ASOS and I think its a man's bag, but doesn't it look very vintage?  A great alternative if you don't fancy trawling vintage shops or if you just don't fancy something pre-loved.

Now, this would be the ideal.  Soft leather, beautifully made.  I love Ollie and Nic bags and so this would be the ultimate.

I think that is quite enough drooling for now, plus also even though I have a lovely new bag, all these are making me want another one again!

What's your favourite and any others I should check out?  Just let me know in the comments section below.

Love it
