Make it. Felt Garland with Blooming Felt

We are starting a little series today with the lovely Blooming Felt. We thought we would start simple with the first of our collaborations with this super easy, spring time Floral Garland.  Blooming Felt has some really lovely felt shapes on their website, we just loved these retro flowers and thought they would make a great garland to cheer up some empty wall space.

For this project you will need: Felt Flowers, Twine, scissors, a large needle and glue.

Start by laying out all of your flowers to see what you have, then start arranging them into rows to get an idea of what your garland will look like when it is strung. Take your twine and lay it along the length of your laid out flowers to gauge the length you need and cut.  Thread your twine onto your needle and starting at one end start to thread all the flowers onto the twine. I found it worked better when you go inbetween the petals coming out in the middle of the opposite petal.

Once all your flowers are threaded you can go back and slide the flowers along a little, pop a dob of glue onto the twine where you want it to sit and slide the flower back over the dob of glue.  This will help to keep your flowers evenly spaced on your garland. That's it, super easy right? All you need to do now is fix it to the wall with some washi tape and enjoy!

We would love to see if you have a go at these. Like with all our DIY's if you do, take a pic and share it with us on Twitter or instagram with the hashtag #livelovemake
