Live it: Our Handmade Fair Mollie Mash-up Adventure
What a weekend we have just had! In a flurry of craft related goodness we went up to Warwickshire for The Handmade Fair at Ragley Hall. This wasn't just a visit to see some of our favourite crafters though, we were up against Fran from Fall for DIY on the Mollie Makes Mash-up stage. eeeeek. We were also in great company as the Lovely Mr X Stitch had been involved in Fridays Mash-up and Chinelo Bally & Lauren Guthrie from the Sewing Bee were part of Saturdays Mash-up.
Gift Wrap I Want to Try
Debee Campos // Humphrey and Grace // Homey oh my // Fall For DIY
I don't know about you but I am a gift-wrap junkie, I always try and make the wrap as lovely as the gift inside. These cute DIY options are floating my boat for my Christmas wrapping this year. I love the printable wrap and the hand-tied fabric! I will definitely be using that for some of my gifts, let's face it, I have no shortage of fabric to choose from. If you need some more inspiration check out my Gift wrap 3 ways post.

Live it: Birmingham day trip
As the title suggests we went for a day trip at the weekend! We took in the sights of Birmingham, well more like a whistle-stop tour of 3 places, but we did well as it was only a day.
May Makers Month round-up
Wow, what a month hey! We have had so much fun sharing some really fun stuff with you this month, from tutorials to advice, we have certainly had it all hey! We thought for those who might be catching up this bank holiday Monday, a round up post would be just what you need to make sure you don't miss a thing!
Let's meet yearly roundup
It's coming to the end of the year and not only that but it's the last few online shopping days to get items in time for Christmas and so we thought that not only would we do a round-up of all our great "Let's Meet" interviews this year, but also it might help with those last minute present ideas.
Makers Month: DIY Dreams
Well hello there! We are getting towards the end of our Makers Month here, booooooo. So I thought a little selection of other DIY's that H particularly has been really wanting to make recently. Probably all to do with having my own place and starting to run out of money to do all the fun stuff.
I found all these great DIY's online and so I will share where I found them.
From Top left; Fall for DIY is definitely a favourite of ours to look at for inspiration for all kinds of tutorials and this Copper Magazine rack does not disappoint! It's the colour and finish of the season, copper and makes a great place for all the Mollie Makes and Simply Sewing magazines that seem to stack up! Magazine addict anyone!
Top right is over to Flossie Teacakes and this cool rope bowl. We all need lots of storage space and why not make this great bowl to match your decor and of course have some fun in the meantime. I can see fruit bowl, key bowls and just bowls for bowls sake in my future.
Bottom left, well just look at it! I found this amazing succulent dish on Little House on the Corner. We all know that succulents are just the coolest thing ever and that we need somewhere to put them. I love the idea of having a little garden of succulents, especially as I live in a flat and don't have a garden of my own. Now, just to not kill them!
Lastly, but by no means least I found this tutorial on Hester's Handmade Home to turn a book into a Tablet holder. I met Hester briefly at a B&Q Masterclass with Charis Williams a few weeks ago and have been a little obsessed with her tutorials and You tube Channel. She also has a book called Furniture Hacks, which has some great ideas.
I think that might be enough to get me started, I also have some Valspar paint from the B&Q masterclass event that I am itching to paint everything I own with!
What's on your wishlist to make at the moment, have any of these DIY's given you an idea of what to make next? Let us know in the comments below if you have made any of these or there is something you have on your wishlist to make. Check out our Pinterest board DIY Dreams for some more inspiration.

Love it: UK Craft Blogs #2
Fall for DIY
Fran is one of the bloggers we have known for the longest, one of our first ever reviews on our blog was for one of her previous businesses (she has a been a part of a few) Check My Box. We Love her gorgeous blog Fall For DIY. She has amazing style and great vision for using unusual materials for making stunning jewellery.
Leanne is one of the sweetest bloggers we know and her blog is a place we love to visit. Her recipes are the reason we spend so much time over there, I made her Banana, toffee and pecan fudge loaf a few weeks ago, it was sooooo yummy! But we love her sewing and knitting tutorials too, head over and check out her amazing Sky Blanket project.
Who are your favourites, this is the second in a series of posts about UK based craft blogs, our favourite fellow Brits doing wonders for bringing crafts out of the dark ages. Tell us in the comments about your faves so we can include them in later posts and crush on their mad DIY skills of course.
