You should all know by now how much H and I love an adventure and if you caught our post last year about the Bath Christmas market you will be aware of how much we wanted to take a second look at this beautiful city. A few weeks ago we got the chance to spend a weekend there and despite the April showers, we spent the whole time exploring all of Bath's best bits. Here are some of our highlights.
We stayed at The Parade Park hotel which was really central with an amazing view of Bath Abbey and just a short walk from the train station.
On our train journey we made a big list of things we wanted to visit over the weekend and so we could hit the ground running and not waste a minute of our weekend.
On our way to check out the Assembly Rooms we found the Circus, a continuous ring of beautiful Georgian buildings, one of the most well known features of Bath. We couldn't resist an outfit post with this spectacular backdrop.
When we got to the Assembly Rooms, the real reason we wanted to visit in particular, was the Fashion Museum. They have some amazing historic pieces, but my favourites were the collection from Bellville Sassoon Lorcan Mulanny and the pieces from their 'Dress of the Year' Exhibition.
There was also some afternoons of shopping in the city centre to be had too, where I indulged my fabric obsession in Fashion Fabrics, Country Threads and The Makery Emporium!
We found a treasure trove of Haberdashery and craft in the Guildhall market - which also managed to keep us out of a massive downpour! Silver linings and all that!
We did make sure and so all the lovely touristy bits too! We had a lovely afternoon tea in the Pump Room, checked out the Abbey, Bath Aqua Glass, The Baths and enjoyed the Bath Society of Arts exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery.
Have you been to Bath, do you live there? What are your favourite places, where should we visit next time?
