New Year, New Goals 2014

This year we thought we would break the habit of 'what should we come up with this year to do differently and then not do it' personal resolutions. We decided to make some resolutions for our blog, we may actually be able to stick to these and tick off some personal achievements along the way.

We have been writing this blog for well over 2 years now! Eeeek. And we have done a lot in that time and so this year we are resolving to do some new and different things and of course now we are writing them down, that means we have to at least try to do them, right?

Be More adventurous...
We have a BIG to do list for this year, lots of places to visit and and new things to try. We have some great plans and we are looking forward to sharing our adventures with you.

Being Brave...
We really need to blow our own trumpets a little more. We are really bad at it but realise that we need to shout about ourselves and be proud of our work.

Engage with our community...
We want to take the time to talk to more bloggers and readers - we want to chat to more people out there! We love it when you interact with us, via Facebook or via our comments on the blog. Come say hello and we will chat back!

Share our skills...
We have a real mix of skills between us and we love sharing our crafty experience at our workshops, but this year we want to share more of our skills with all of you. We are planning more tutorials and how to's for the coming year, If there is something you would be interested in learning let us know.

Sharing your Skills...
We have loved sharing the work of some amazing people over the last two years and we want to continue to find and show you the best the crafting community has to offer, If you are interested in being featured, get in touch with us via email at liveit.loveit.makeit@gmail.com

So those are our goals for 2014, tell us some of yours.....

Link for the week: Friendship bracelets

This month is a pretty special time for Sammy and I as we have known each other for 15 years!
I know ... but more of that later in the week.

I saw this tutorial for friendship bracelets on one of the blogs we follow on Bloglovin 'Oh so Pretty' and so I thought it appropriate to share.

What I love about these bracelets is that you can use cord - so no allergic reactions to metal for me - and whatever beads you have laying around and so it's so simple to make.  I also love the clasp that means you can easily do up/undo without having to have a clasp - which is always a bit difficult for me.

Friendship bracelets have been around so long and there are so many different types out there, but it's always nice to share the love with your friends by making them something so why not make one for their birthday or even have a think about Christmas presents - I know I just dropped the C word!

If you have a go, do let us know in the comments below.  Or if you have a way you do your friendship bracelets, let us know that too, so we can have a go!

Share the love with your friends.
